The video below is of a drive along Bicaz Canyon (Video not taken by us), nevertheless, it is what we saw and it is beautiful! I would have picked the same exact music too :) I highly recommend watching it, especially when you get to about 3:30 minutes into the video, this is where we took our walk. You will see the power of nature, and how small and insignificant we felt in this powerful, massive and breathtaking place.
After we left the amazing, mystical and magical Lacu Rosu we were back on the road again. This time we passed through an incredible looking canyon called Bicaz Canyon. It is a drive on a winding road with a spectacular view of really hight rocks. Our driver Daniel dropped us on one side of the canyon and we were supposed to meet him on the other side. It was a walk along the side of the road, where the cars were driving through the canyon and could potentially be very dangerous, so we walked very carefully on the side. It was so beautiful with a stream of water on the side, the view was priceless, we were looking up in awe of the sight of those impressive rocks and impressive nature. There was a small market there of all kinds of traditional Romanian clothes, rugs and all kinds of awesome goodies. Till this day, I don't know what I was thinking by not stopping there to shop. I guess we were on a time limit and had to go back to the bus. Now looking at the pictures, I so wish I would have stopped there and got myself some of this incredible looking things. Especially some of the kitchen stuff. Oh well, I guess I would have to go back to Romania again:) When we got to the other side of the canyon there was a beautiful spot where you go down stairs and there is a beautiful river, so we all took the opportunity to snap a bunch of pictures. Bicaz Gorge was breathtaking, absolutely astounding view!
The Bicaz Gorge (Romanian: Cheile Bicazului) is a gorge in Romania. It is located in the north-east part of the country, in Neamţ and Harghita counties.
The gorge was excised by the waters of Bicaz River and it serves as a passageway between the Romanian provinces of Moldova and Transylvania.
It is a noted location to see the wallcreeper, an uncommon cliff-dwelling bird.
The road along the 8 kilometers is one of the most spectacular drives in the country.
Cheile Bicazului is one of the main rock climbing sites in Romania.
