Dâmbovița Mountains Private Day Tour with a couple of SUV's

We are still on day one, and our next adventure after Peles Castle, was a private day tour to the high mountains of Dâmbovița with a couple of SUV's, to see a a great breath taking view of the beautiful mountains, a lake called Bolboci Lake and keep going up the mountain, to see a cave called Pestera Ursului. In my SUV we were with my mom, aunt Stella,Jay, Nadya and Shahar our cousin. We kind of shocked the driver with my aunt (75) telling him really dirty jokes in Romanian. The kids and Jay had no Idea whats going on. We had a blast and we made the most out of the crazy ride up the mountain. My aunt is silly that way, she loves to laugh and tell jokes. Our drivers name was Nelu which reminded me of my beloved uncle Nelu that passed away many years ago.

The combination of the drive up the very curvy high mountain, the cold weather and it started to rain like cats and dogs with a crazy thunder storm, made a few of us very sick. On the way up we saw another gypsy girl selling cute little baskets of forest fruits, so we had to get some from her. First we stopped to see the view and it was out of this world beautiful! We continued with this weather further up the mountain and stopped at the lake, Just stunning, nature at its best! Right there we decided that we are not going to continue to the cave. The kids were very sick to their stomach, so we headed back down, as soon as we got down, the weather cleared and continued to our hotel in Brasov.
